intro to stained glass
do you teach teens/kids?
We do not! All of our classes are for adults only, ages 18 and up.
can I make a _____?
Our classes use all our original patterns, and we create new ones as often as we can! You'll be able to choose ahead of time from several options. If you're dying to do something you saw in a previous class, just message us.
does my piece have to be those colors?
Your piece can be ANY colors you want! You'll be able to choose from a wide variety of glass colors and types when we begin. Any colored graphics you see of potential patterns are only meant to be ideas!
where is the class located?
Our classes take place at our private, home studio, located in North Durham, near the Eno Valley. The address will be sent to you via email in the week before!
does it really take 5 hours?
It does! We'll take you through choosing glass, cutting, grinding (and grinding again), foiling, soldering, and cleaning your piece. It's a full day of activity, but you will leave in the evening with a finished piece!
is it dangerous?
Broken glass always presents some risk, but it's minimal. Pregnant folks or individuals with particular health concerns should be cautious, as we do work with lead in this medium. We always provide eye protection, gloves, and fume absorbers.
do you do private groups/classes?
